JSteele Wellness is a place where women and health matter. A few words about insurance

I will write a little bit here about insurance and how it relates to this practice. I can sum it up in three words...it mostly doesn't.

Health insurance is like home owners insurance. It will (or might) pay for your roof to be replaced if a tornado comes and rips it off your house, but if you need a few shingles replaced or you need someone to power wash the moss off them, well, it is not going to pay to have those things done. Those are maintenance issues. If your health insurance covers your annual exam, for instance, we will provide an invoice for you that you can submit to your insurance company so that they can reimburse you.

Laboratory work (pap smears and bloodwork) are often covered and will be handled through our lab contract with Labcorp. If you have an HSA or FSA account, that should cover most visits and you can try to use your card to pay for the visit.
